One of the sweetest astronauts there ever was just turned three and I had the honor of throwing her a super girly planet party. Camden is all about planets lately so it made for a fun theme to run with, and I was super excited to create a planet party that wasn't like anything I had seen before. I went with the pastel galaxy route and threw in an abundance of sparkles and stars so it could be as girly as can be!
The table was set with pastel blue paper products and
Coterie star napkins! For the center piece, I added 'galaxy rocks' surrounded by star confetti! Too much sugar for a three year old? No way!
Decorations consisted of balloons because I really don't think I could plan a party without them. I mixed in confetti balloons, agate balloons and star foils to give some texture. I even made one of the balloons look like Saturn by putting a 'ring' around it. One of my favorite decorations to add into parties and celebrations is my acrylic sheet. Using a chalk pen, it can be used over and over! For this party, I drew the solar system so Camden could point out all the planets and used the sheet as a way to showcase the theme of the party, too! Adding balloons behind helped put a pop of color in another area of the party and also made the sign more legible and fun!
I order Jimmy Johns for food because it's Camden's favorite! We had water (Camden's fave) and La Croix flavors that were on theme! Sides were Camden's favorites, too.
I picked up a simple white cake from Dillons and asked
Sweet Sugarlicious to make a cookie topper! Mercury is Camden's favorite planet, and Wendi outdid herself with the most beautiful, hand-painted Mercury cookie. I surrounded it with three sparkle star candles. I also added a cake pop option from
Buckingham Cakes. Lisa is so talented and created the cutest pops that went perfectly with the party. They tasted too good to be true and were a party favorite!
Party planning is something I have always loved and still have so much passion for, but planning a party for someone I love so dearly made planning this party extra special. Camden has the kindest heart and brings so much joy to the people around her so it was very special to help celebrate her! Camden's mama photographed the day and showcased this passion of mine so well. Seeing my vision come to life is one thing, but having it captured so well is the best. Shoutout to one of the most talented photographers I know. If you need photos for literally anything,
ErinKingPhotography is where it's at!
One of my favorite parts of this party was how excited Camden was the night before her birthday as she watched me blow up hundreds of balloons. The garlands weren't even created and the party wasn't set up but she was so happy. It brings me so much joy to create a party catered specifically to someone and incorporate all their favorite things. Glad I could do this for the cutest astronaut in the galaxy.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Camden!
Celebrate EveryDay,
Helena
