It Is Your Birthday
Dan turned 26 this month and it just so happens that we have been watching The Office from beginning to end for the first time together. Dan has seen the entire series too many times to count and I have heard many episodes in the background of whatever I am doing around the house, but when I told him I wanted to watch the series and really pay attention to all the details (truly appreciating the awkwardness of Michael Scott) it brought him a ridiculous amount of joy. Little did he know that as we watched, I was taking notes each time I had an idea and was planning his birthday all along! Growing up in my house, when you came downstairs on the morning of your birthday, the table was decorated and all your presents were out and there was always a sign made by mom. So after I married Dan in 2016, I have continued that tradition. I put all Dan's gifts on the table so when he woke up, it made for a fun start to his day.
